Chrysler Repair: chrysler lebaron 85, master brake cylinder, chrysler lebaron

Question
Hi Roland. How are you my friend? I'm ok but I have a question. I have air in the breaks and now the pedal is soft. For now only the front wheels stop. Today I've tried to take out the air and that's the result. Is there anything special about the procedure. What do you think? How did the air get inside? Thanxx very much!

Answer
Hi Miro,
The air can get in when and if the fluid in the reservoir drops too low so as to allow air to enter via the master brake cylinder drawing it in instead of brake fluid. That dropping of level would be due to a leak in either the master or wheel cylinder. Also, a leak at a cylinder can be a location where air can enter just as the fluid can leak out, so air can leak in.
Have you received instruction or read about the technique for bleeding a brake system? And do you have any tubing to attach to the bleeder valve that will be air tight? Have you watched someone do it, or done it with the help of a knowledgeable person?
It may be that you just didn't bleed the wheel cylinders correctly and you let air in when you were trying to remove it. So let me know what experience you have, what reference materials you have, and whether I need to give you a tutorial on the subject.
