Chrysler Repair: Radiator Plug, haynes manual, chrysler cirrus

Question
I can't find the radiator plug to drain anti-freeze on my 2000 Chrysler Cirrus. I can't get to the bottom of the radiator because the plastic fan housing is in the way. I can't even see the area. What's the secret?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Roger,
The Haynes manual shows its location to be at the lower right corner (passenger side) of the radiator, adjacent to the fan housing corner and directly below what appears to be a loop of hose. It further notes that you can't see it on the V-6 and that you have to put a socket, universal flex joint and long extension on it to loosen it up. I have not done the job myself so have to rely on that description and photo in the Haynes. The strange thing is that the photo shows the fitting on the cock to be a simple flat bar such as would work by fingers, so I am not sure what size socket would do the job. You might try looking for it using a mirror while looking up from underneath.
