Chrysler Repair: 2.0 Eclipse Turbo 5spd, intake manifold gasket, gasket intake

Question
I changed the head gasket, intake & exhaust gaskets,,,the problem i have is that i hear this kind of a, air leakage sound around by intake manifold,,,and also my turbo doesn't spool or release pressure,,,i dont know if i've done something wrong all the intake bolts are tightly on and i believe all my vacuum lines are correct by the chiltons manual diagram it has,,,,any ideas for me to check if anything else can cause this?

Answer
Hi Hector,
Sorry to be slow in replying, I wrote a response late last night but it evidentally wasn't delivered to you.
I have to say that I have no familiarity with the Eclipse 2.0 engine and very little familiarity with turbos. My experitse is more on the side of the American built engines rather than the Japanese ones.
But on the general issue of air sucking sounds it is usually associated with a leak of air into the intake manifold either due to a gasket leak or a vacuum hose that is loose, cracked or detached. You might reexamine the hoses to see if you left any detached. Then the other approach is to take a spray can of carburetor cleaner or starter fluid and with the engine idling put very short squirts around the intake manifold gasket, hose attachment points or sensor attachment points to listen for a brief increase in the idle speed which is a sign of a leak at that point. But always use very brief bursts of spray so as not to start a fire.
You also can place a rubber tube in your ear and use it to focus your hearing around the intake manifold to listen for the leak that way.
Once you find the leak, the turbo may begin to work.
