Chrysler Repair: Engine Removal, chrysler town and country, power steering pump

Question
I have a blown engine in my 93 Chrysler town and country. We have a new one to replace it but would like to know what would be the easiest way to take the old one out without removing everything? The engine is a 3.3 is this helps.

Answer
Hi Chandel,
Thanks for the positive feedback. It wasn't clear whether you wanted me to type in the steps for removal or not. If so, let me know.

Hi Chandel
I have the '93 Chrysler Van shop manual which describes the procedure fully. The trans doesn't need to come out, but you have to have a fixture to hold it and a c-clamp for the torque converter. The engine is hoisted up and out. The radiator and fans, the ac compressor, power steering pump, starter, and the usual lines and electrical connections are removed before the engine is lifted out. The engine mounts need to be marked as to location for later reassembly. I would be pleased to xerox and postal mail you the pages if you have the time. Otherwise I could type in the steps but you wouldn't get the illustrations which are helpful. So let me know your time frame. I can copy it today and get it in the mail this afternoon. I'm in the San Francisco Bay area.
