Chrysler Repair: 96 3.5L Chrysler Concord no spark, chrysler concord, odometer readings

Question
The only trouble code is 12(Battery or computer recently unhooked.  Crank and Cam sensors sending good signals. Shut down relay is good. All wiring checks out.  There is power to the coil but when cranked the computer is not giving the coil a ground.  I believe it is a faulty computer?  Also, what is the diference in the two computers listed for this vehicle?  The part store says it has to do with tire size?

Answer
Hi Jesse,
Another Concorde owner ('97 3.5L) has just sent me an identical question as yours. I wonder whether you can tell me how this problem was corrected? Thanks for anything you can tell me.

Hi Jesse,
Have you checked all three coil driver wires ('ground' in you description)? Look at sockets 17,18, 19 of the 60 way at the pcm to verify that there is no signal from all three of those. In the absence of a sensor code I agree that the pcm is suspect. What is a bit troubling is that you don't get a code 43 but maybe that whole section of the pcm is "out" which might explain no driver signal and no code 43 about there being something wrong with the current to the coil primary side. The wires pass thru a 16 pin disconnect at the right strut tower, but again the other wires are working so the plug has to be put together. Is the coil pack body well grounded, otherwise no high voltage would be generated?
On the computers, the tire size is needed for accurate speedo/odometer readings. The stock model has 185-70-14 and if you went to 15" wheels that would mean a different computer would be needed.
I would be interested to learn how you resolve the no spark.
