Chrysler Repair: Cant find the ground wire you mentioned, chrysler new yorker, electronic vehicle

In your answer you mentioned a light green and black wire in a grommet fastened to the framing under the dash on an '88 Chrysler New Yorker. I cannot seem to locate this wire. Is it 1) one wire, black with green stripe or 2) one wire, grenn with black stripe or 3) two wires, one black and one green?

Is it possible that it is under the hood on the fender?

I am interpolating between and '87 and an '89 wiring diagram for the New Yorker, as I don't have the '88 manual.
Can you tell me whether or not your body style is more like the 87 or the 89 model? And which engine do you have? I will do my best to research this further. It is not entirely clear to me whether the ground is the only possible answer. Also, by overhead instruments do you mean what is called the "electronic vehicle information center"?
