Chrysler Repair: Lost remote control, good understanding, remote controls

I have lost both remote controls for this car, and after contacting the dealer they suggest that they change the control unit at £600. Is there any way that i can short out connections on the control unit to disable the security system. I have a good understanding of electronics. Many thanks, Simon.

Hi Simon,
What is the year and model of your car? The system has been thru a couple of generations so I need to know that. Of course I believe that if you will only lock the doors with the key that will prevent activation of the security system.
