Chrysler Repair: 93 Eagle Summit Wagon heater core, chrysler lhs, haynes manual

Question
Where is the heater core located on a 93 Eagle Summit Wagon? Thanks, Beth

Answer
Hi Beth,
I have no written information or personal knowledge about the Summit model. Was that an import (France) or a vehicle that was made by American Motors? Or did it have another nameplate as a Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth? I know the Eagle Vision was the same as a Chrysler LHS, Dodge Intrepid, etc. and I have the manual for that one. The heater core is always inside the Heater/AC unit under the dash in the cabin and the operative question is how much do you have to remove to get at the heater core to remove it. Some units require the whole air distribution box to come out, others allow you to split out the housing part that holds the heater core only. I just can't tell you which it would be without more information.
I suspect if you can find a Haynes manual it will tell you how to do it. Or Chrysler (Dyment Publications 1-800-890-4038) may have a new one at a higher price.
