Chrysler Repair: windshield washer not working in 2000 sebring, windshield washer, multifunction switch

My windshield washer will not work, we replaced the multi function switch and it is still not working, we checked the washer pump that is fine, any suggesteions.

Will the multifunction switch cause the washer pump motor to run? Or not?
Will the washer pump, when jumpered, cause the fluid to squirt?
I was unclear as to what is the problem: the connection between the multi-function switch and the pump or is it between the pump and the lack of expression of fluid on the windshield. If it is the former then the problem is a fuse or wiring, if the latter then it is a plugged water line from the pump to the nozzles. Before going further please explain a little more.
