Chrysler Repair: 1999 Chrysler Town & Country LX Power Window Problems, electical testing, haynes manual

Question
Hello Roland. I hope you can help.
I've had this Town&Country van since it was new in '99.  Since then there has been a gradual failure in the power windows operation among other things.  First the passenger rear wing window stopped(with signs of intermittent life before completely dying), then it was the drivers rear wing window.  Could live without the wing windows and couldn't figure out any access to the motors anyways but now the front passenger windows is stuck in the down position after intermittent stalling in a 1-day period.
I've seen other recommendations you've made and I was just wondering if there were any suggestions you could lend before my last windows fails, which I have faith is definately going to happen.

Answer
Hi Harlan,
I don't have any preventive suggestions to "save" the balance of the system. The problems could involve the control switches, the motors, or the electrical wiring of the power supply and interconnection of these parts. The Haynes manual I have has a couple of pages of description and electical testing procedures and a generic wiring diagram, all of which could help you to figure out which are the parts that are giving you these problems. So if you have a volt-ohmmmeter you could probably figure out what is going on and fix it yourself. Let me know and I'll xerox the pages and U.S. mail them to you at no cost. Just include a mailing address.
