The book I have does not have the wiring diagram for the heating/airconditioning system. Could you please send me a copy?
I am still having problems getting the HVAC controls to work. Since they are all digital I replaced the control box and still the display on it is blank and the controls do not work. Everything else on the car is great.

Hi Don,
I'll copy the pages and mail them to you. In the meantime, you might want to check all the fuses that are involved in powering the system: 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, and then verify that you are getting voltage to those fuse sockets. The panel should light up if all those are working and the black wires to the console are properly grounded to the chassis.
Let me know if you find out anything unusual from those tests.

Roland,
I found that fuse 2 was bad. It was labeled back-up lights so I never checked it...now I know to check them all. I am not sure what caused it to blow, but I replaced it and will see. Thank you again for the diagrams. If you run across anyone that needs the digital HVAC control let me know. Chrysler only has one left in their inventory and it was discontinued. I only wish I had found you before I bought the part.
Thank you for your help.

You are welcome, Don. I would not be surprised if another Chrysler owner needs the unit. It would be useful to know which models and model years also use that automatic temperature control head unit. If you  check at the Chrysler dealer parts counter you could probably find out. Then try selling it on eBay with an opening price a little lower than what you paid for it, making certain that in your title and description you emphasize which cars it will work for. And point out that there is a limited supply. It is an inexpensive way to advertise an item to a widely dispersed group of potential buyers.
Roland

Roland,
After driving around for a couple of days with no problems, I started reassembling the dash. I found that the #2 Fuse blew again. I could not tell from the diagrams I have what else that fuse is used for.

Answer
Hi Don,
The fuse supplies power on a white wire to the following:
back-up lamps
cornering lamps
load leveler
heated rear window relay
radiator fan relay
the ATC unit
and something called an ebl relay which I can't identify

I would be suspicious of the back up lamps because any short in that circuit at a bulb socket would blow the fuse.
The wire that arrives at the socket is violet in color. Similarly look at the cornering lamps and their sockets at the front end of the car. The wire at the fan relay on the left fender shield is white and provides power to the coil of the relay. There is also a diode in the back-up lamp circuit that might be shorted to ground if it shorted out. It is found in a white wire that goes to the ground point on the transmission.
Let me know what you find or what more you need to know.
