Chrysler Repair: Coolant/thermostat, thermostat, cylinder head

Question
I need to know what position do i need to have the bleeder hole on the thermostat when installing it?

Answer
Hi Brett,
Which engine are you dealing with? If it is the 3.0L V-6 then you allgn the "bridge" of the thermostat with the  "wall" in the casting of the cylinder head so that the thermostat can rest squarely in the groove provided for it. The bleeder will then be to the outside of the flange wall, and the spring part of the thermostat will be on the opposite side of the casting wall from that of the bleeder hole. If you are dealing with a different engine let me know.
