I am replacing the antilock brake booster pump and master cylinder on a 1993 Chrysler Town & Country minivan with a 3.3 L V-6 engine and automatic transmission.  Do you know what the procedure is for refilling and venting this system to correctly re-pressurize it?
Answer -
Hi Eric,
By chance I have the '93 minivan shop manual which has a 44 page section on the ABS system. Because I haven't worked on an ABS system I can only tell you about it from a quick scan of those pages. It appears to me that the refilling and bleeding of such a system is no different from that of a non-abs system. If the system were to be dismantled it appears that you have to depressurize it by pumping the brake pedal for about 40 times with the ignition turned off. But other than that, if you are starting from a dismantled system and have reassembled it I think all you would have to do is refill the reservoirs and do the normal bleed out at the 4 corners of the van. But rather than guess, why don't you read the pages about the system. I would be please to xerox copy the pages and snail mail them to you today. I can get them copied for 5 cents a side and the postage for 5 ounces (my estimate of weight) is about $1.29.
So the whole set could be done and sent to you at a cost of about $3.50. When you get the pages just send me back stamps or a personal check for that amount.
If you want me to do this, just send me a follow-up with your mailing address.

Answer
Hi Eric,
THe copies are made and at the post office. There was 18 cents tax so the total was $2.38 + 1.29 for postage. So if you would find it convenient just send ten 37 cent stamps.
Thank you.
