self  before leting the repair shop charge me "over $300" to repair. Thats what they told me it would cost to replace the motor. Thanks

Answer
Hi Larry,
If the other windows works then the circuit breaker in position #2 of the fuse block is o.k. About the only other possibility is the switch that controls the window. You could try jumping the 12V that comes in on the tan wire (pin #12) and the ground return wire (black, pin #10) to pins 8 and 9 respectively and see if the motor works (the wires to the right window motor are colored gray/black and dark green/white, and depending upon polarity this will either drive the window up or down, so try reversing the wires as well). If it doesn't show any life, then the motor is shot.  It is often the case that what kills the motor is that the water drain hole becomes clogged and the motor gets flooded and rusts. So look for the rubber flap under the car located on the body seam in front of the rear wheel and check that the hole behind the flap isn't closed with debris. Similarly check on the left side.
If you want to replace the motor yourself I can send you the instructions from the '94 shop manual that I have. I need to xerox copy and mail it to you because I don't have a document scanner.
