Chrysler Repair: 1996 Town & Country LX Air Filter, shop manuals, engine compartment

what are the steps to change air filter. I have removed the housing from the engine compartment but I can't seem to figure out how to open it. does it take a special tool?

My experience with the van line is minimal unfortunately though I did check a couple of different shop manuals that I have for the mid-90's but found nothig remarkable noted for that task. There has to be some sort of fasteners unless the parts interlock together with tabs that part of the interfaces. I wish I could give you something helpful but I'm unable to.
