Chrysler Repair: Chrysler rear disk rotors/emergency brake hubs, chrysler town and country, rotor hub

Question
I'm giving you a shot at this as I am at my witt's end on this one.  After breaking one of the rear disk rotors loose from the lugs of my 2001 Chrysler Town and Country, the emergency brake is still hanging up in the rotor hub and won't let go dispite the e-brake actuator hook being totally loose and disengaged.  How the heck does this e-brake let go of this rotor?  If you can't answer this, please don't waste any more of your time responding to this.  Thanks for your time!

Answer
Hi Dave,
Not a problem...
I would suggest based on my similar set up in an '89 LeBaron coupe that the best way to break it loose is to put the wheel back on and rock the car forward and back until it breaks loose the hub from the shoes. If you have grease or watery dirt in the hub it will lock up the shoes real good so the brute force approach is probably the only way to do it. Don't step on the brakes unless you also put the disc and caliper back on the hub, or the piston(s) will blow out of it. So do this technique in an area where you won't need the brakes for safe stopping, or as I said reassemble the disc brake too. My rear e-brake hub had a tendency to lock up that way once because it was badly adjusted and then it would drag and finally break free due to the wheel rotating on the ground (with a resounding clunk). Hasn't done that again after I cleaned out the hub and adjusted it properly.
