Chrysler Repair: changing the headlight bulbs, torx head screws, headlight bulbs

Question
i'm trying to replace the bulbs on my 94 LHS. there is no room behind to reach in and change them so i tried to pull out the whole headlight assembly. when i take the bolts out on top that seem to be holding it in it still does not come out. am i missing a bolt or is there a trick that might be better. any help would be much appreciated. thank you.

Answer
Hi Dirk,
I'm referencing the Haynes 94-97 manual for your car and others like it. It shows that the assemblies are held in place by the two torx head screws mounted at either end, vertically. It then notes that if you can't pull them out, you may need to remove the large metal "sight' panel that runs the full width of the car above the radiator area (it look like 6 fasteners hold it in place). If that is in the way, then removing it might let you push the unit out from behind. You might want to disconnect the (-) post of the battery before working in this area.
When changing the bulb, first unscrew the plastic collar, then using the tip of a screwdriver gently pryout the holder. Don't get finger prints on the surface of the new bulb (if you do clean it off with rubbing alcohol). Then plug-in and reverse the procedure.
