Chrysler Repair: Brakes, wheel brakes, chrysler new yorker

I have a 1990 chrysler new yorker fifth avenue and I need to know what types of brakes on the back and front it has?

Hi Bill,
I am virtually certain that the front wheel brakes are disc. The rear ones could be drum or disc (at least that was the state of things in the early 90's with other Chrysler cars). Depending upon the wheels and covers you might be able to look thru the slots in the wheels and see whether the rear is solid rust color (drum) or solid shiney (disc rotor); or take a look under the car, inboard from the tire and see if you can see a rotor or not. If you can't tell for sure you have to remove the wheel to tell.
