where is, and how difficult is it to replace the thermostat?  in my 1991 chrysler "la baron"?

Hello Jim,
Changing the thermostat is not too difficult because it is located in a housing that is quite accessible on the top or front of the engine depending upon which engine that you have (6 cyl or 4 cyl?). So let me know which one it is and I will give you a few tips and the location to find it. I'd prefer not to go thru the procedure for both styles of engines if you don't mind responding to that question.
