Chrysler Repair: Dodge caravan transaxle problem, dodge caravan, clutch plate

Question
Hello my name is Josh.  My mom has a 1996 Dodge Caravan with a 3.3 and the 41 TE transaxle.  It had torque converter lock up, so when the transaxle was out I rebuilt it.  But now it is making a little wining noise and when it is in neutral and I rev up the motor, it will move backwards.  Could the clutches in the input drum be too tight?  Thanks for your help, Josh

Answer
Hi Josh,
You are ahead of me if you rebuilt this unit yourself!
If if "drives" when in neutral it could be:
shifter control needs adjustment
valve body malfunction
insufficient clutch plate clearance or a dragging clutch

So you might check those possibilities, in that order.
