Chrysler Repair: transmission and converter, chrysler cirrus, chrysler dealer

chrysler cirrus 00/v6
i had a transmission rebuild, now the car will hesitate to move after stopping at the light. It sqeaks as the motor is a full speed but not moving.

Hi Julie,
If the rebuild was done recently it should be under warranty. About the only easy thing to check is the level of transmission fluid in the transmission. There is a dipstick, usually on the side of the transmisssion toward the front of the car. Make sure there is fluid on it after you first wipe it off and then dip it all the way down, pull up and observe. If there is nothing showing, then get the correct trans fluid from a Chrysler dealer and with the aid of a small funnel add enough via the dipstick opening to bring the level up to the "add" line, then see how it behaves. If that helps, then warm it up ,and add more fluid to the line level of "hot".
Other than that 'service', it pretty much needs to go back to the shop that did the rebuild, particualy if you have a warranty still in effect. Insist on satisfaction!
