Chrysler Repair: Chrylser Town and Country, town and country chrysler, transmission problems

Question
We have a 1999 Town and Country Chrysler van.  My wife took off this morning and the transmission wouldnt shift into the overdrive gears.  It seemed to just stay in the lower gear.  The service engine light came on and still is on.  We have not had any other engine or transmission problems in the pass, can you help?

try takeing the pos. cable off for 2 min and see if the tranny works like it should . if not it will have to have a shift senser replaced . only a tranny shop can tell u this with a diagnostic test . the service is free in most trannys shops pete
