Chrysler Repair: Lebaron conv. 1990 trans and electrical, electrical gremlins, trans fluid

Question
I have three Lebaron auto trans converts. A 1990 6 w/ electric panel, a 1990 6 w/ standard dial panel, and a 1992 w/ standard dial panel. My best 1990 started flashing the right turn signal at double speed. Then the left. Then the mirror light stayed on and with it the rear seat lights. Then when I parked and tried to pull forward it seemed as if the brakes were on.

I dedeuced there was a short which caused the electrical problems but which was related to electrics connected to the trans. Trans fluid seems fine and red when warm. But what causes the car to move forward (only, not reverse) as if the brakes are on? I also noted a bit of skipping or slippage when I came to a stop or sometimes when starting.

Answer
Hi Steve,
When you say that you deduced it was a short causing the electrical problems, does that mean they no longer exist, and so I don't have to research what might cause them? Please let me know one way or the other.
Roland

Hi Steve,
I have the 1990 wiring diagrams so I can possibly give you some suggestions on the causes of your electrical gremlins. But I need to study them first before responding. But I will get back to you soon. I don't believe they would be related to the tranny problem, however.
