Chrysler Repair: about the belts, air conditioner compressor, auto parts store

HELLO, I have a 1998 Crysler concord lxi my trans went out I also snap a belt far to the right away from the batt. and i dn't know what kind of belt that is the belt is (skinny, thin) it's directly in front of the passenger's side plz tell me the name of that belt so i can replace with not havin to buy the wrong one! thank you! P.S it's a 3.2lt

Unfortunately I don't have specific information on your engine because I mainly know about the '87-95 models. But I would believe if you go to a auto parts store and ask them about your year and engine they can show you a picture on their computer and from that you can show them which belt. Or, they can take from the shelf all of the belts that are for your car and then you will be able to look all of them and see which one(s) is like the one(s) that is(are) still present and thus determine which one is missing. Another way is to look to see which of the accessory parts (alternator, power steering, waterpump, air conditioner compressor?) are no longer being driven by a belt, and then describe that to the parts person.  And you usually can return a belt if it is the wrong one. So try asking at the parts counter for the help.
I hope your transmission will be repaired at a fair price.
