Chrysler Repair: Electrical, handheld scanner, asd

Question
Veh is an '88 Chry town/cntry minivan, 3.0l eng, a/t, a/c.  Problem is crank/no start.  have no spark.  no power to coil or to distributor.  using a handheld scanner, found no 'batt volt' reading in datastream.  tracked to no voltage in on pin 41 of 60-pin ecm connector.  jumpered wire direct to battery and now had 'batt volt' reading equal to ocv test at battery.  still no power to coil or distrib, and vehicle now shows code 42 (asd relay voltage fault).  checked B+ lead at asd relay - no power.  jumpered this direct to battery as well.  now when ign is turned "on", or asd is energized through scanner tool, popping and arcing occurs.  still no voltage to coil, etc.  help?

Answer
Mike,
Start by checking crank and cam sensors you may have one that came unplugged or is not functioning properly. I'll bet it's in one of those two areas.  If this doesn't solve your problem write back and we'll go further, but let me know either way.
Thanks,Dale
