Chrysler Repair: horn relay, mechanical abilities, horn button

horns not working,relay clicks when horn button actuated. does this mean relay is working or in need of replacement? (85 ramcharger)

 The click that you hear does mean that the relay is functioning, however it may not be functioning correctly.  I would reccomend that you start at the horn itself and work backwards.  My guess (and it is just a guess based on my past experiences)is that your relay is fine.  More than likely you have a bad horn,or a one that isn't grounded properly.  If you have a 12v test light or meter you can have someone push the horn button while you test the circuit. If it lights up,but still wont work then more than likely the horn itself is bad. I'm not sure of your mechanical abilities so apologize if this was unneccessary or meanin
