Classic/Antique Car Repair: falcon upholstery, Ford Falcon Interior Material

Question
Hi there,
the thing is that, cleaning my father workshop found some stuff that, as i've been told, belongs to the Falcon models from '60s to 69. Looks like it's an original complete car seat upholstery.

My idea is that this has to be with someone who really loves falcon as my dad did,  i just dont want this covers ends in some regular auction.
At the other hand, if i have to sell it, i have no idea how much could it cost.

This links is for you to check pictures of the upholstery if you have facebook

thanks a lot for your help

Answer
Hello Liz,

I applaud your desire to use your interior material to help a restorer. Some of the original material is quite rare today!

I did take a look at your pictures and it does look like early 60's type material that may even have some metallic thread content which would make it quite rare today.

However, I'm not a Falcon expert and think you should consult some folks who are. There is a Falcon Club of America where you could sent the pictures. They may be able to even help you locate a club member who could use it!

Value is going to be dependent upon rarity, condition, yardage, etc. Also, there is Falcon interior material being reproduced today which could affect value also. Best to contact the experts and proceed from there.

Thanks,

bob
