Classic/Antique Car Repair: 73 lincoln power windows, power amps, lincoln continental

Question
I just recently purchased a 1973 lincoln continental and the power windows do not work, I press the switches and can hear the motors turning but the windows don't move, what could be wrong and how do I fix it?

Answer
If the motor turns, then either the window is stuff
on the track or the gear in the motor is stripped.
However, this would be unusual for all windows to
have this problems, but not impossible. I guessing
the windows are just stuck because they have not
been used in awhile. Taking the door panel off should
reveal the problem. Try pulling or pushing the windows
while pressing the the switch.

NOTE: Also, another common problem with electrical windows
on cars such as your is the BATTERY. Make sure you have a
battery with enough power (amps) to bring the windows up.
You should have at least a 850 Cranking Amps battery in it.
