Classic/Antique Car Repair: Retrofit headlight relay, napa store, dual circuit

Question
In a previous post on this site (some years ago, unfortunately) the following appeared, " I found a dual circuit 6 volt headlight relay at the local NAPA store."

I have a '35 DeSoto Airflow that has what looks to be a late 30s or early 40s sealed beam retrofit. The dual circuit relay has died, and I need a replacement. After having read the above posting, I went to NAPA to look in their catalogs. I found nothing that looked even remotely like what I've taken out of the car. Do I need to modify the system to accept newer equipment or did I just not know what to look for?

A NAPA part number might help.

Thanks!

Answer
Check the following web site for 6 volt headlight relays. I doubt that you will find an exact match for the one that was in your car but these new cube relays as sold by this company are much better. However I wire it a little different than what they show in this site.
Where they show a cube tap going to the lights I run this to the dimmer switch and install the relay between the headlight switch and the dimmer switch. I also tuck it away out of site like up under the dash. This is what I did on my 41 Ford.
