IS THERE A TRICK TO GETTING THE STERRING WHEEL OFFA 1940 CHEVY CAR TRYED PUTTING PREESURE BEHIDE WHEEL THEN HITTING NUT WITH NO RESULTS ANY SUGGESTIONS THANKS TIM

Hello Timothy,

What you need to do is remove the nut from the steering wheel and get a steering wheel puller. It can be rented from most auto parts stores. It will have vise-like arrangement that apply's over the steering column with 3 fingers that attach to the underside of the steering wheel.
Turn the steering column nut and the wheel just presses off!
