Classic/Antique Car Repair: Jaguar, Jag, Rolls

Question
I need someone from Ohio to fix on my xk150 1959 Jaguar

Answer
Hello Carolyn,

Thank you for your inquiry....and congratulations on being the owner of that Jag !!!

We restore the woodwork in all cars that came with wood...and Jag XK 120's and XK 140's had wood in them and we restore those wood sets all the time.  Your XK 150 didn't come with wood, as you well know.

Anyway, in our nearly 30 years...I can tell you that there are 2 places where you can find help in fixing and/or restoring your XK 150.

The first is a website that is really really helpful for Jag owner.  Go to:  www.jag-lovers.org   You will find all sorts of resources there.

Also, do a google search for Jaguar Clubs of North America.  There is probably one near you, and you can contact the club, to see who they recommend.  Or contact a classic/vintage car club in your area.  Many folks in clubs are very helpful people and may be able to help you find your answer...making a friend or two in that "world" would be very helpful, especially if you are going to do mechanical work yourself.  Who knows, maybe one of those folks has had the same problem or can assist you personally with the answer to your question.

Also, there is a very reputable source in California for parts and restoration etc. called XK's Unlimited go to www.xks.com

Also Mike Wilson's Restorations in California does superb restorations and they have done quite a few XK 120/140&150's - contact them at: mwrestorations.com

Our specialty is “Automotive Wooden Interior Trim” - specifically the “Real” wood trim parts found in Jaguars, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce, Bentleys, BMWs, Jensen Healeys, Austin Healeys, Triumphs - etc. etc. etc.

Should you or any of your fellow automotive enthusiasts have interior wood trim in their vehicles....and IF that wood is having trouble.....I can help.  Our website is:  www.maderaconcepts.com

(I would appreciate you taking the time to Rate my response....thanks)
