Classic/Antique Car Repair: 85 camaro 305v8 running rich, barrel carburetor, car stock

I recently came into an 85 camaro z28 305 v8 that had been sitting for 2 years unused.  I changed plugs/wires, distributor cap and rotor, air filters and it is running extremely rich and lacks horsepower...any ideas?

The first question that I need to ask before we get into this any further is as follows. Is the car stock and are all the computer components hooked up? If there are any modifications that you can see, what are they? The car should have a 4 barrel carburetor that is computer controlled. There should be a wiring connection on the top of the float bowl for the computer controlled mixture solenoid inside the carburetor. With the key on and the engine not running there should be a light clicking noise from the carburetor. Let me know all of this and we will go from there.
