Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1929 model a coupe, model a coupe, model a ford

What is the correct setting of rpm, for a 1929 Model A ford.

Answer
I don't know. Just set it low enough to cackle with the spark up.  For trips, we set it a little high so we don't have a chance of die-out in heavy traffic.  I don't know if any of have ever had a tach on our engines.
If you are down to things like this, you must have it running really good.  Now, go have fun with it.  The Les Andrews book may have a number in it.  If I find it, I will get back to you.
