Classic/Antique Car Repair: 67 Rolls Silver Shadow, best bet, silver shadow

Question
My mechanic says that the screw to adjust the airflow on the carburetors is seized and that I need to rebuild the carbs or replace.  What is your ball-park estimate for what these two options should cost:  rebuild my carbs vs. remove and bolt on a new/rebuilt set.

Many thanks

Answer
Hi Gary:
It really depends on how many miles you have on those carbs?
A rebuild is in order about every 30,000 miles. If these have
never been rebuilt or haven't in the last 30,000 miles, then that
is your best bet.

Just bolt on a rebuilt one. Its faster and easier and should cost less.
About $300 - $500 depending on your mechanic RR expertise.
