Classic/Antique Car Repair: 67 Rolls, spay, vern

Question
Dear Vern,

You helped me last May.  Same car, this time the accelator cable or the automatic choke is stuck.  The car roars when started and I cannot tap the automatic choke off.  And I can't get the car out of the garage to have it towed with the engine racing.  Is there a way for a mechanic to manually adjust the accelerator from under the hood so I can get the car towed to my mechanic?

Thanks

Gary

Answer
Sounds like the choke is stuck. You can manually release it from under the hood or just spray
it with some  silicone spay, which should allow it to release itself with a small tap on
the accelerator. If not, open the hood and manually push back and forth on the accelerator
linkage to release the choke.
