Classic/Antique Car Repair: 55 chevy p/u Brake, dual master cylinder, 55 chevy

Question
QUESTION: I have a 55 chevy p/u and my problem is the brake pedal. It gets stuck when you hit the brakes and have to pull the pedal back up to get going. Is there anything that I can do to keep it free? It used to work great, but here lately it's getting stuck more and more. I have to always pull the pedal back up so it will go again. Any suggestions or any help would be appreciated.

ANSWER: Is this the E brake or the foot brake and does the truck have power brakes?

QUESTION: It's the foot brake and no, no power brakes, but does have disc brakes.

ANSWER: I would presume that it has a dual master cylinder and is fire wall mounted with hanging pedals, is that correct?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: It has a dual master cylinder, but it's mounted under the drivers side floorboard like the original one was and the pedal is the original pedal which comes through floorboard, then has a linkage that it's bolted to  that goes to linkage that comes from master cylinder and has a spring that goes to the frame. I don't know if maybe I need to grease it where it's bolted together or if I need to do something else. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I did put new fluid in about a year ago and bled all the brakes. It worked fine up until maybe a month or two ago.

Answer
If it the original set up there should be a grease fitting on the pivot that if not greased can cause the linkage to bind. You have answered one of the things that I was going to ask about, the spring. The pedal is returned with that spring and the spring inside the master cylinder.
