Classic/Antique Car Repair: 54 belair elec prob, starter solenoid, forward side

i recently replaced the starter solenoid and now i am not getting any power anywhere. car will not attempt to turn over and none of the lights work.

Answer
It sounds like you might have mixed up a couple of wires when you put it back together. The cable from the Pos side of the battery connects to the forward side of the solenoid and the same terminal gets the wire that feeds the rest of the car. the back terminal gets the cable that runs to the starter and that is all.
