Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1939 buick eight special, man job, radiator

Im haveing a problem removing the radiator, I expect that the front fender and grill must come off, it seams the radiator lift strieght up out of there. my problem is I cant get the light covers off. ( I know that sound dum, Im having a real problem dealing with that one myself)anyway Im asuming I must remove the light housing to remove the front feder to remove the radiator.

Answer
The radiator can be removed without removing the front fenders. Remove the hood, disconnect the radiator, and remove the water pump. Then lift the radiator up and back over the engine and out. As I remember it is at least a two man job to lift it out.
