I just bought this classic Mustang and find the steering has several inches of play. What do I need to replace to correctthis problem?....Thanks , Ken M

Hi Ken:
You need a new steering box. There is a box located under the hood called the steering box that controls the steering arms that goes to the wheels. The joints in this box are worn and the box should be replaced. There should be very little (if any) play in the steering column. Otherwise it will be hard to steer the car with any accuracy.
