Classic/Antique Car Repair: electrical problem, chevy caprice classic, chevy caprice

Question
we have a 1994 Chevy Caprice Classic and on the way home the other day the speedometer, the air conditioner, and the power windows just quit working. The gages around the speedometer are working as are door locks, power seats and radio.  What can I do?

Answer
Hi Jodi:
sounds like a blown fuse. Although a bit strange to have the
AC fuse wired to the windows/speedometer fuse, so check all
of your fuses. You may have more than one blown. If so, there
could be a short somewhere that caused a power overload. I'm
guessing the AC may have cause the problem. But first things first.
Check and replace any blown fuses.
