Classic/Antique Car Repair: brake warning light, brake warning light, accumulators

Question
I am repairing a 1969 Rolls Silver Shadow. I have had the
rear calipers rebuilt and replaced some rusted brake lines. The brakes seemed to bleed ok, but the accumulator
warning light on the left stays on. The right side goes out
after 30 sec. Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Him:
Those accumulators are charged with nitrogen and they may be low and need recharging or rebuilding. I had the problem several years ago and all it needed was a nitrogen recharge. Also, lack is use will also create this kind of problem. Drive it in a safe area (parking lot)and use the brakes a lot to see if the problem improves. If not, get the accumulators recharged and see if that will resolve the problem. If not a rebuild is in order.
