Classic/Antique Car Repair: my 68 firebird (original 400 big block motor) isnt getting fire to the engine, 68 firebird, mechanical skills

Question
i have changed the complete firing coil and have changed the spark plugs... i really dont know much about old cars so please help.

Answer
The ignition module and the pick up coil in the distributor are two likely causes of no spark. The module can be replaced with the distributor in the engine but the pick up coil is a different case. The distributor must be removed and disassembled to replace it. In the case of a person with limited mechanical skills a job best left for a technician.
