Classic/Antique Car Repair: Signals quit working 1966 F 100 Ford Pickup, directional signals, flasher relay

Question
The directional signals quit working after blowing fuse after fuse. In haste and some anger I wrapped fuse in tin foil. Heard flasher click once than quit. I installed a new flasher relay and fuse. I have everything but signals.  Checked all bulbs. They were working fine.I have tried everything I know and no luck. What am I missing?

Answer
If you haven't fried wires it sends like you have a socket shorted out. Also does your directional pull 'feel' okay. They came go to ground.

Try disconnecting all your signal lights and see if your fuse still blows. If it does not hook them up one at a time.
