Answer
Hi Leo:
If the car has been sitting for years, then you will need to perform several things to get her back in driving condition. I'm assuming she ran fine before you put her up year ago?

It would have been a god idea to drain the gas tank before you put her up. Now it MUST be done, as the gas is most likely dirty and contaminated. Also, change the fuel filter.

The plug and distributor should be changed as well. Check the plug wires. If they are dry and brittle, change them as well. In other words, a good tune-up is required at this stage.

Also, don't forget to change ALL fluids...Oil, Transmission, Power Steering, Brake and Radiator.
