Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1955 Chevy Bel Air, chevy bel air, octane booster

Question
Just got the car, and it has it's original engine.  I ran out of gas due to a faulty indicator and now the engine has been stalling due to fuel line clogging.  They said the tank looked pretty clean when I took it in.  Question: Is it ok to use unleaded gas in the car?  Other ideas on why it's stalling?

Answer
Unleaded gas is inevitable. Just keep an ear to the engine. If it starts to knock, you may need to add an octane booster. I personnally have never needed to.

How do you know the line is clogged and not other more likely possibilities such as you sucked up water from bottom of tank?
