Classic/Antique Car Repair: Shade Tree Mechanic, shade tree mechanic, sunbeam alpine

I am playing Santa for my husband and trying to find what he called a "shade tree mechanic" to assist with repair of his 1967 Sunbeam Alpine.  It has not moved from the driveway since we moved to the Aberdeen, Maryland area. Can someone refer me to a mechanic of sort that can come by the house as the car is not in driving condition and he wants to talk with them. I want to contact the mechanic and discuss gift certificates as well.

That's a tough question.  I assure you that there is a guy who will do just as you want, but finding him will be hard.  I would google the sunbeam and look for a car club near you.  If you can find them, then ask them for some help.  Try the Hemmings site and any other site you find on your search.  I will look also and get back to you if I find something.
