Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1966 mustang brakes, hydraulic brake cylinder, grease seal

Question
What's causing my 1966 mustang's brakes to pull hard to the right when I apply them. It's my weekend cruiser and the problem just happened suddenly out of the blue.

Answer
There are two possible reasons:  The most likely is that there is some contamination on the brake lining, probably on the right front wheel.  Pull the drum and inspect the lining and the rubber caps on the hydraulic brake cylinder for evidence of seepage, and also inspect the back side of the brake drum grease seal for evidence that it is throwing grease.  If both of those check OK, then take the car (slowly!!) to an alignment shop and have them check for a bent or broken part in the suspension, probably on the right side.

If the problem is contaminated lining, you should replace the linings on BOTH sides of the car, after the source of the leakage is fixed.
