how do you install a new manual choke on the old carb on a 1947 cadillac fleetwood

The 1947 Cadillac came with an automatic choke.  There was no manual choke available, so there is no provision on the carburetor to hook one up.  You might be able to jury-rig a connection to some part of the linkage, but I'd advise just getting the automatic choke to work right, rather than modifying the car.
