Can you help me out this was your last answer to my question:I have a 67 Coronet, 440 cu. in. that is not charging, will not exceed 11.5 volts. I have installed a new engine and forward light harness. The block is grounded, new Alt,Battery, Regulator. At one point I also bypassed the Ammeter and still nothing. I am about to put in a new ignition switch. Can you offer any tips please?

Thanks,Bart

Answer
First of all check the grounds between the body and the engine. Then make sure that the voltage regulator is grounded to the fire wall. I have been known to run a ground wire from the regulator mounting bolt to the alternator case on these cars. Now a question before we go further. Are there two small wires to the alternator beside the heavy load cable or just one?
