Classic/Antique Car Repair: Crankcase capacity of 235 Chev. inline 6, spark plug gap, crankcase oil
1950 Chevrolet Pickup
I just purchased a 1950 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck with a 235 inline 6.  The dipstick does not appear to be original to the truck and I am changing the oil.  The old oil read about two quarts high on the stick, but the stick appears to be too long.  I will replace the oil with the specified amount and scribe the stick until I can get the proper dip stick.  
Can you tell me the crankcase oil capacity as i have to manual as of yet.
